Winner of Navan Youth Leadership Development Competition

Navan student, Niamh Finn, has won the Rotary Club of Navan Youth Development Leadership Competition for 2010.

Niamh, who is a student of St.Josephs Convent of Mercy in Navan, won the first prize in the club competition run by the Navan Rotary Club.

The candidates in the competition had shown leadership potential in educational, vocational, community and/or sporting areas. Niamh says that she found the interviews for the competition very beneficial and the competition challenging.

Niamh then went on to win the Regional Award and as her reward got to travel to the EU Parliament in Brussels. She was presented with the Tony Rowntree Memorial Shield.

It was her second time to enter the competition and she felt that she had benefited from her past experience and felt much more confident.
