Navan Rotary Presidents Night 2016

More than 50 members and friends attended the Rotary Club of Navan President’s Night in the Crave Restaurant in Navan.

President Maurice Harlin said he was glad of the opportunity to congratulate the Club members on all the hard work and the fun as he outlined the huge number of charities and individuals which the Navan Club had helped during his year.

President Maurice said that he had one last job to do, but a job that gave him a lot of pleasure. He told the guests that he was awarding a “Paul Harris” recognition to a member who in his opinion had made an outstanding commitment to his Club and also the broader community. The Paul Harris Fellow Award is the highest honour a club can bestow on a person, either inside or outside the club. The award therefore acknowledges “Service above Self” which that individual has offered to their community, their nation or indeed to the world. He then called on Sean Lynch to come forward and accept his award.
